Shramabhimani Kendraya is a community-based organization in Sri Lanka that brings together members from Buddhist, Hindu, Christian, and Muslim communities to advance human dignity, workers’ rights, and peaceful coexistence. Since its founding in 1994 and re-establishment as a registered NGO in 2016, the organization has empowered free trade zone workers, farmers, and local communities through advocacy, leadership development, and community organizing. By promoting interfaith dialogue, celebrating diverse religious and cultural traditions, supporting environmental stewardship, and equipping young leaders to become ambassadors of peace, Shramabhimani Kendraya fosters social cohesion and collective action for justice, equality, and sustainable development.
