Woman moving agenda network Kenya was formed out of a need to enhance the capacities of women religious leaders in addressing community needs. Among religious leaders, the women have less opportunities for capacity building and exposure due to the patriarchal nature of faith-based institutions. Considering the fact that women religious leaders have a lot of work at the grassroot, the establishment of a platform for their capacity building is real need. The women from the major religions in Coast of Kenya agreed to form an umbrella that will offer this opportunity to the women and thus women moving agenda network Kenya. The group embraces the principle of inter religious dialogue to ensure the needs of all women and their faiths is taken into consideration.
