Agape International Spiritual Center

8 March 2011

The 13 Moon Peace Walkers will be honored at Agape International Spiritual Center, Michael Bernard Beckwith, Founder and Spiritual Director, on March 20th, at the second service, with the CommonUnity and the Association of Global New Thought, Season for Nonviolence Hero’s Award. We are indeed honored to receive this award as it acknowledges the path of peace and nonviolence we have walked for over a decade as the 13 Moon Walk 4 Peace and as the Trail of Dreams World Peace Walk.

We are aware that our country and indeed the world is facing many challenges. At the very core of these challenges is our spiritual and moral courage, indeed our integrity, to do what is right personally and by standing up for justice in our governments, corporations and even our religious institutions. This is our moment, let us raise above the injustices of poverty, racism, classism, consumerism and fundamentalism. We, you and I, with courageous intent and unstoppable, unconditional love, are the ones to usher in a more just and humane society that deeply respects relationships: our relationship with self, with family, community and Mother Earth.

The 13 Moon Walk 4 Peace is a walk for all of humanity and Mother Earth. We are unstoppable because we know that, “One step at a time, we do change the world!” In the words of the CommonUnity ministry, “…putting compassion into action is the enlightened response to the challenges facing our global human family.”

Thank you Agape: the CommonUnity ministry and the Association of Global New Thought – Season for Nonviolence. We look forward to having the opportunity to join in the services on March 20th.
