Giving Christmas Cakes to Kolkata Homeless

26 December 2017

By the ever-unfading grace of the Almighty, we from the "Helping Hands CC," placed in the City of Joy, Kolkata, India, could give out freshly-baked cakes to the poor people who live on the streets of Kolkata. We did this on Christmas Eve, thus creating circles of hope and connecting to the oneness. The smile on their faces on receiving the cakes gave us divine happiness.

We didn't choose to buy the cakes, but instead we baked the cakes ourselves. This gave us immense satisfaction about the ingredients used and the hygiene involved. When we put out our plan to our members about the cakes being baked by us for the distribution, the response was really unreal.

Unlike other programs, this program involved a lot of background work and, as always, all our members actively participated in making this program a grand success. We not only distributed more than 200 cakes to the poor people, but also shared with them the Joy of Christmas on the eve of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace!

We sincerely appreciate the help and support that the URI has been giving us, and we look forward to work more and more with our association.

Let's not Rest In Peace, Let's Live In Peace.

Let us unite for a peaceful world.
