A BRIEF ON THE WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATIONS BY LATTER GLORY OF RELIGIONS AND FRIENDS OF COMMUNITY HEALTH (FCOH)
Day’s Theme: Gender Equality for Women’s Development
The women of Latter Glory of Religions from Jinja and Friends of Community Health from Mayuge joined together to celebrate the International Women’s Day on 8th March 2019. The day’s activities involved women's group discussions, and dance and drama and speeches aligned with the day’s theme. In general, there was a consensus in the speeches, drama and the women’s discussion outcomes that for women’s development to prosper, gender equality at all levels must be realized.
