Global Compassion, a URI member group in Cameroon, has mobilized to provide ongoing aid during the disastrous flooding in Douala and Santchou. These areas have been affected by flooding and have suffered serious damage. Thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes, most without food or shelter. The people are in need of food, drinking water, clothes, and health assistance for their children.

In Santchou, the wells are contaminated, and many parts of the city are without clean drinking water. The main road has almost been severed by the flood, making the situation very critical. This is all happening against the backdrop of an ongoing, deadly pandemic.

In their Facebook post, Global Compassion shared, “Any $$ amount can give joy to a family affected by the floods in Cameroon. Thanks to those of you who donated to make this ongoing action and a special thanks to Carine and Rose from our Douala City team.”
