The Weekly Shot: Giving Thanks this Thanksgiving

Over the last 20 years, URI has brought people together in countless ways and locations, forging new friendships and creating new connections. Pictured above is an interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration with the Interfaith Council of Southern Nevada Cooperation Circle at the Gurdwara Baba Deep Singh Ji in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA in 2014.

The Thanksgiving holiday in the United States is a time when interfaith groups around the country give thanks and share appreciation. While the holiday is being celebrated differently this year due to the pandemic, with many people postponing shared meals, the spirit of gratitude is the same. Despite being physically distanced, the URI global interfaith network gathers virtually this year. We appreciate everyone who joins us on this peacebuilding journey and we give thanks for the helpers and peacebuilders in every community.
