"I felt I was part of something that I wanted the world to become, when all of us walked through the streets of Bali twenty years ago on a big march with the Peace Pole. That was the first time I saw a Peace Pole and it was great to know that there are people all around the world who are really ready to walk forward in building harmony and peace."

"Maria, Marites, Swami Agnivesh, Mohini Giri, Dr. T. D. Singh, Dr. Mohinder Singh, Madam Oka, Indra, Fr. Nambiar Parambil, Ravi Kandage, Justice Shamsuddin, and so many distinguished guests were with us, participating in the first URI Asia-Pacific Assembly."

"It is always good to know we are not alone, especially when we have a long way to go."

  - Abraham Karickam

URI Regional Coordinator, South India and Sri Lanka
