Unity in Diversity- North India Cooperation Circles Meet at a Heritage Park

15 November 2021

After months of virtual interaction, URI members in Delhi finally got a chance to safely gather for a cluster meeting on the 31st of October, just before Diwali! It was a fun-filled Sunday afternoon at a biodiversity heritage park with beautiful conversations, delectable multicultural cuisines cooked with love by our very own members and amusing games organised by URI youth members!

“I love how URI gives us a platform to connect with people from diverse backgrounds,” said a member from North India while another added, “it gives us strength when our work is cherished by people from all over the world, and we get a chance to know about their great work for society.”

“It was such a beautiful day with all the CCs meeting after a year. We shared our experiences of COVID-19 and our social work towards humanity,” shared Jacintha Reema Gomes Barua, from Support4Enlightenment Foundation CC.

“Everyone made it truly a rainbow time.  It was so heart filling and amazing that time passed away swiftly. I extend my gratitude and appreciation to all members of URI,” Pinaki Dasgupta, from Shristi CC joyfully added.

“I’m drawn to the spirit of URI, and the positive energy I am taking back home is a privilege I have received through connecting with diverse URI CCs,” said a budding social entrepreneur, who attended a URI meeting for the first time.

From team-building games, sharing impactful stories and ideas, intergenerational dialogues to formulating plans for collective social action, the members rekindled the joy of being connected to the global grassroots interfaith network, and the spirit of YOU are I.
