Recently I decided to run for political office in 2018 for the state of Alabama. Friends who know me well have asked me, “Why are you running?”

URI-Africa participated at Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, in a conference to end violence against women and girls in Africa.

G3S Foundation hosts the first International Students Conference on Environment and Climate Change in Rajastan, India in celebration of World Environment Day! 

Today marks the 100-day countdown until the United Nations International Day of Peace 2017. Every September 21^st, the URI community joins peacebuilders around the world in celebrating this occasion.

Following an increase in hate crimes in the European Union, URI-Europe helped organize a conference for youth called "Words Matter (Stop Hate)".

CARAVAN partners with a girls' school in Jordan, offering an introduction to gender equality, cultural diversity, intercultural and interreligious understanding, and the need for peace. 

The new URI MCC Islamabad, Pakistan office will work for inter-religious peace by serving local Muslims and Christians who are currently deprived of necessities like roads, sewage systems, gas and water.

Witnessing innocent lives dashed by profound evil, spurred people to gravitate to a place where good was celebrated. Ultimate forces were then in play. Solace and hope were sought above all else.

In URI, we are learning what it means to be a community that thrives on diversity.
