URI MENA Office brought a portable classroom to a Syrian refugee camp, where many of the children had never been to school before.

This July, one of United Religions Initiative’s Global Council members will be leading a dynamic trip across the Indian sub-continent designed to help participants feel a part of the greater reality and not just outside viewers.

We organized a community interfaith event in thankfulness for a good rain season, to collect charity for people who lost their homes to floods, and to stand against the murder of albinos, which is an unfortunately common occurrence.

It was organized by some URI Cooperation Circles, in partnership with other organizations. They marched along the streets of the city, proclaiming that they will boldly march for peaceful change.

Also in commending the women, I spoke on the need to boldly initiate peace activities in the troubled area of Southern Kaduna as part of the peace process in the State and the area. IMC and the WIC Cooperation Circles will send more elaborate reports.

Since all religions have their own perspectives related to environmental care, the members of URI Cooperation Circle “Interfaith Peace Building on Natural Resources Management” gathered together representatives from many traditions to speak on the topic.
