Every year, Cooperation Circles around the world, Individual members celebrate this day in various ways.
This year, URI dedicated the “Together with URI” global community call to mark the International Day of Peace. This call also focused on peacebuilding efforts and initiatives in the URI network.
For 11 years, Faith Together Uganda Cooperation Circle has been sounding peace drums and calling for harmony, co-existence, and love in their community.

Each month the URI Youth Connection Café is open to young people across the network to come and meet others and engage in a topic presented by the hosting CC. In August, young people from Africa, Europe, and Asia shared their views on the role of faith and youth groups in ensuring Government accountability.
As the uncertainties that come with climate chaos intensify, CCs are living examples of caring and responding, learning and working across beliefs and geographies to realize our vision for healing, justice, and peace.

On 17 August 2022, URI regional coordinators for Southern Africa and Western Africa organized a webinar that brought together participants from various URI regions to discuss the Role of Religion in Peacebuilding and development.
