URI Stories of Impact

Christmas get together BETHAK celebrated Christmas in collaboration with REAT Network at Khanewal.

We gathered members of our Global Council, our Regional and Global Support Staff, and our advisory councils to share what URI means for each of them.

The Silicon Valley Interreligious Council (SiVIC), a URI Cooperation Circle has put forth a challenge to all URI CCs!

In January, it will have been a year since elders of Ik Onkar Peace Foundation, a URI CC, passed the torch of leadership with the task of reaching the next generation.

An award ceremony was held in the WAKE CC Vocational Centre in Joy Sha, Lahore on 18 December 2014. Diplomas were given to 32 women (28 Christian and 4 Muslims). 

“We take the rights of people under our protection,” said youngsters at the Annual Session on Human Rights, which took place on the 10^th of December 2014 in Novosibirsk, Russia. 

Today, the international community was rocked by the news of a Taliban attack on a school in Peshwar, Pakistan, which killed 141 people - 132 of whom were children - and injured many others.
