URI Stories of Impact

CC profiles are a part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen the URI network by providing quality, in-depth information about the work of our cooperation circles. 

AFFCAD rallied young people around Kampala’s highly congested and poorest areas to stop engaging in violence and increase security amongst themselves to prevent crime.  

From Nov 20-22, 35 CC leaders and delegates representing 15 URI Cooperation Circles in West Africa gathered in Jos, Nigeria, for the first URI West Africa Regional Assembly.

In 2010, URI’s Golden Rule Award was given to Finland’s President Taria Halonen. 

The atmosphere was electric, with the emergence of a powerful approach for URI assemblies on full display, and it is an honor to share a few highlights with you.

By translating words into actions we can all make a valuable and tangible impact, beginning with the cleaning, clean water and toilets at our places of worship and pilgrimage sites.
