URI Stories of Impact

On the first day of the Interfaith Week of Harmony, URI South East Asia and the Pacific (SEAPac) joined in love and peace celebrations held at the Mabuhay Buddhist Temple in Manila, Philippines.

URI India East Zone hosted a two days of assemblies in Ranchi, Jharkhand on the 9th and 10th August 2014.

The African Centre for Peace Building in Ghana celebrated International Day of Peace this year with a Youth Peace Forum from September 18-20^th.

On Sunday, June 22, Global Compassion CC staff, along with intern Michael Lui, and Ngwatta Primary School Teacher Chemine Ekembong, facilitated a "Kids Have a Dream Workshop" in Ngwatta, Cameroon. Forty-five children ages 9-15 were in attendance and discovered, explored, and developed their dreams for the future. Children also participated in group discussions, exploring the concept and value of having a dream.

Here I am sharing another new initiative in our East India zone. With the help of Ektaan Band Performance Funds, we are inaugurating a new Cooperation Circle (CC) learning exchange program.
