Vivian Baraguir facilitates the Adopt A school of Peace Project

ADOPT A SCHOOL OF PEACE PROJECT- is an intercultural and Interfaith Community Project where seven elementary schools will be given three component projects such as 1.) Training on Healthy Preparation of Snacks for Mothers; 2.) Culture of Peace Training for Teachers and 3.) Convergence of Services where each recipient school will receive free medical missions/medicines, bags, seedlings, feeding and tree planting. The source of funds is the Goldin Institute, Chicago and materialized by the Goldin Institute, Philippines and other partners of different offices in the ARMM like DepEd, DSWD, DTI, DOH, DA, 6th ID Phil. Army, Local Givernment Units and the PYLP8-Adult Leader.

URI's Mussie Hailu to speak at international interfaith conference on the Golden Rule

We have all heard the phrase: “Do unto others as you would have them do to you.” With roots in most religions and cultures, the Golden Rule has become a basic concept in modern human rights work. It is also the passion of URI Regional Director for Africa, Ambassador Mussie Hailu, who will travel from Ethiopia to Phoenix, Arizona later this month for the North American Interfaith Network Conference (NAIN Connect 2011). A keynote speaker, he will address the theme, "Many People, Many Faiths, One Common Principle – The Golden Rule."
