Msu-Iit Youth Chain Of Peace (MYCoP) was founded on December 2, 2008 as a Tripartite Youth Organization and community exclusively organized for peace-building, peace advocacy, and other related activities. It is a non-profit organization which seeks to promote a deeper understanding of the culture of peace. It is linked to other interfaith and peace organizations all over Mindanao such as the Mindanao Tripartite Youth Core (MTYC), the Youth Desk of the Bishops-Ulama Conference (BUC) and the Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM). The mission of this Cooperation Circle (CC) is to provide a venue for young individuals who want to engage and promote peace through: development of self within the community; education about peace and related issues; sharing of experiences; friendship and solidarity; community involvement; dialogues and interactions; and appreciation and respect for interconnectedness and distinctiveness of cultures and faiths. MYCoP initiates a spirit of volunteerism among the youth through active participation in peace activities such as Mindanao Week of Peace Celebration. It conducts annual Peace Camps among different schools, organizes a lecture series called Peace and Role of the Youth in Mindanao, promotes team-building, and holds an Organizational Fair (exhibit of MYCOP) and Duyog Ramadhan.
