AYEPO, a URI member group, hosted a student art competition to help heal the wounds of living with violence and to promote peace among students of different backgrounds in Afghanistan.

In early August 2017, the western region of Cameroon experienced heavy rain that led to devastating mudslides and flooding. The Global Compassion Team helped people affected in the Santchou area.

The Israeli and Palestinian Women's Peace Quilt was created in Jerusalem by 72 Israeli and Palestinian women designing and creating a symbol of their interfaith sisterhood in the midst of violent conflict.
