URI Stories of Impact

Read about the Multiregion Leadership Council gathering at Kashi Ashram in Florida. It represents a pivotal moment for the Multiregion as we launch into a new phase of significantly-expanded leadership capacity with our Baraza team. 

In October, I participated in the Salish Sea Bioregional Gathering in Vancouver, which was co-sponsored by the Interspiritual Centre of Vancouver Society, a Cooperation Circle member of the United Religions Initiative.

This group runs an orphanage for 150 children of different religions, providing the children with shelter, education, medical attention, clothing, food, and all the basic necessities of life.

Earlier this year, URI members in eastern India helped to host a music festival as an opportunity to spotlight emerging artists.

The target group was rural women with limited or no access to financial resources, some illiterate, 19 to 60 years old.

I'd like to acknowledge and share with you all the fantastic work being done by Geoffrey Manasseh, from Lilongwe in Malawi, in terms of youth leadership training in the country.

Nov 28, 2017. Following a recent historic regional leadership gathering and looking ahead to 2018, I want to share with you some exciting developments for our region of URI.  

United Religions Initiative India’s 8th National Assembly was successfully held in Ajmer, Rajasthan, in the URI West India region.
