URI stands united in grief with the people of Libya following the devastating floods in their country.

Representatives, Issac Shibu Thomas, Global Council Trustee of URI, and Samira Barucija-Homoraš, Regional Coordinator for URI Multiregion, took part in this inspiring UN event in honor of International Youth Day.

Three young leaders; Greshma Raju, Aardra Manoj, and Deepak Kumar represented URI at the just concluded G20 interfaith summit in India. 

In January 1997, the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity was held in Quito for the first time. This initiative was promoted by the Ecuadorian Episcopal Conference and the Latin American Council of Churches. Only two celebrations were held, one in a Catholic Church and the other in a Protestant church. 

August is the month of the Pachamama celebration for the Indigenous Peoples of the Andes. Pachamama. Mother Earth as we call it, the celebration connects and strengthens us with our environment.
