URI Africa urges faith and interfaith leaders to join in endorsing the Interfaith Declaration on Climate Change.

CC Approval Committee of the Global Council met once again on second wednesday of December, December 19th. The conversation about aplicant groups resulted in the approval of five new Cooperation Circles enriching four regions. One of them was formed in South Sudan a new independent country in Africa

One of the most important purposes of the Festival of Faiths is to broaden the scope of the Holy Day Season to include all faiths and to celebrate the birth of the global civilization.

We extend our support to ‘Occupy Wall Street’ and the ‘Occupy Together’ movement by standing in solidarity with our sister and brother protestors in calling for a government that is responsive to the needs of its citizenry, the establishment of a society based on economic justice and freedom of expression including public assembly.

URI Africa took part in the 16th International Conference on AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) in Africa which took place from December 4 to 8, 2011 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
