Members of URI Pakistan gathered on the streets of Lahore Saturday to offer prayers for the recovery of 14-year-old peace activist Malala Yousufzai.

On the 28th September members of cooperation circles of United Religions Initiative Bangladesh meet to explore "Reconciiation and Global Unity". For the past few years we have been focusing to strengthen the interfaith network in Bangladesh to connect local activities with URI global platform.

Pakistan Council for Social Welfare & Human Rights (PCSW&HR) an active Cooperation Circle (CC) of United Religions Initiatives (URI) in Pakistan  observe the International Day of Peace on 27th^t September 2012,  and convention & workshop on “ Role of Women for Sustainable Peace for Sustainable Future” was organized to celebrate the International day of Peace 2012. 

More than 600 volunteers in Kottarakkara, India took part in a parade celebrating the International Day of Peace hosted by URI South India

The Rev. James Channan was honored for his peacebuilding work during URI Pakistan's celebration of the International Day of Peace on Sept. 23.

The BETHAK organization conducted a program on the International Day of Peace, September 21, 2012 at Khanewal with the theme sustainable peace for a sustainable future.

Religious leaders, Cooperation Circle members and other peacebuilders from throughout Asia and the Pacific came together in India this week for URI’s Traveling Peace Academy. 

"Hariyali" - A tribal movement to save nature, initiated by Ranchi Peace Circle and supported by the Environmental Seed Grants of URI. We started our action to form the network among the members and various tribal community leaders with the help of Birsa Munda Jan Vikash Kendra CC. Specially focusing on very challenging and affected district of Khunti by environmental degradation.
