This year, the Galilee Center is spear-heading a “BIG” project to mark the occasion of International Peace Day.

Although animals cannot speak in our human language, this does not mean that they do not have a voice. Let us urge our sisters and brothers that peace must extend to every creature if we are to truly celebrate our legacies in this world of ours. Let us remember that they, too deserve an environment of peace,

The participants were Muslim, Druze, Christian, and Jewish women who had lost sons and husbands to religiously-motivated violence. Most had never celebrated the holiday before and were thrilled by the new experience.

URI Southern Africa Regional Coordinator Karen Barenshe spoke about the "Girls Not Brides" campaign, which is currently launching to increase awareness of the harmful effects of child marriages and encourage efforts nationwide to prevent the practice.

URI members took part in an event where representatives of many spiritual traditions participate.

Five members of Desert Bloom Cooperation Circle, led by Mr. Samer Al Kasih, participated in the “Environmentally-Friendly Targets” youth exchange held in Plymouth, UK.
