URI Stories of Impact

Please give a warm welcome to the latest groups to join the global URI network.

From the beginning of the workshop to the end, we learned together, laughed together, dreamed together and collaborated on ways we might make a difference in each other’s lives.

The One Day Dialogue was organized by African Youths Initiative on Crime Prevention in response to the numerous challenges of ethno-religious intolerance in Nigeria. 

The importance of this meeting is that a Committee of Indigenous Writers "Carlos Martínez Sarasola" was formed; it is the first in the world.

The Stanford Bright Award, Stanford University's top environmental award, will be presented to URI Cooperation Circle EcoPeace Middle East on October 4, 2018.

The local government was not able to give the slum attention or assistance, so local URI members stepped in.

A special prayer time was dedicated to the social, economic and political situations of Nicaragua and Venezuela.

Every August 1st, the Indigenous community celebrates the Day of the Pachamama, also known as Mama Pacha or Mother Earth.

URI-Africa came to learn with the deepest shock and immense sadness the death of H.E. Mr. Kofi Annan, former Secretary General of the United Nations and Nobel Peace Laureate.
