Central to URI's work is the idea of individual CCs identifying and working on community-specific issues. Every year, Kashi Ashram supports the US Postal Service's Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, now in its 24th year. 

United Religions Initiative (URI)-Africa presented its Africa Peace Award to H.E. Dr. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, the first female president of the Republic of Mauritius and the third on the African continent.
