The Golden Rule Day event was conducted on Saturday April 5th in the famous palace of the district head of Lere, in Tafawa Balewa local government area of Bauchi State.

Tafawa Balewa local government area was chosen to be the venue of this year’s commemoration because of the intermittent crisis that keeps occurring for 2 decades. This led to having a divided community of Christians and Muslims in Tafwa Balewa LGA. Muslims are now afraid to go to Christian dominated areas and vice versa.

The Local Government Area (LGA) is one the 20 Local Government Areas in Bauchi State and is known to have an estimated population of 278, 674. The people in the area speak seven (7) different languages and comprises of Christians or Muslims.
