URI Stories of Impact

Since 1973, millions of people around the world celebrate June 5 as World Environment Day. In this 2022, the country that sponsors the celebration is Sweden and the campaign is called "One Earth".

On Sunday 5 June, URI is honoring UN World Environment Day (WED) the biggest international day for the environment.

In times of hardship, there are people around the world who are working hard to extend a helping hand and share love, comfort and warmth. Read more about CCs helping others irrespective to religion or belief

URI remembers Sister Chandru Desai, Director of the San Francisco Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center and one of the founding members of United Religions Initiative, the San Francisco Interfaith Council, and the Interfaith Center at the Presidio.

Over the years, URI has leveraged the website as one of the main tools for communication and sharing impact and stories from CCs and like-minded people around the world. The revamped website was officially launched on 1 June 2022 to continue serving this purpose.
